In the tech world the process of getting a job is taking months and months these days. Wtf is going on? For literally every application I've been waiting 4-6 weeks to hear anything, if at all. Then they schedule an interview for like 3 weeks after they reach out. Then you wait like 3+ weeks again to hear the outcome of the interview, assuming they don't just ghost you. If they wanna do more rounds of interviews, add another 3+ weeks. Then 4+ weeks to do referencing and get you set up to actually start. It's ridiculous. Application to start date can easily be 4+ months, despite me being like “yeah, I can start tomorrow if you want”.
Nobody wants to work? Maybe nobody wants to deal with this ridiculous BS.
