So i’ve been working my ass off for ages trying to prove to my higher ups i can manage this role.Working extra hours, taking up extra tasks, literally risked my health for this job. It becomes available and i apply for the job. The worst part is that i’ve already been doing the job that the promotion was for, just without the pay as we’ve been so busy but so understaffed. (i know, i’m an idiot). I emailed my CV, why they should hire me etc etc. I was ignored. no email back, no call. nothing. I even got someone above me in the company to email in my favour and ask. They ignored her too. today i found out they are doing external interviews and may have found someone, and to add salt to the wound, they want me to train them. this person will be earning nearly DOUBLE what i earn a year.
Am i being dramatic or is this really cheeky, especially as i’ve already been doing the job just without the pay.
I am so angry i’m about to quit
