Once when I was applying for a management position in the company I worked for, I had to full out a company resume packet. Same info that would be in any standard resume: education history, employment history, etc. The senior manager told me he was willing to look over my application packet before my interview to give me some pointers. I finished the packet, and set up a meeting with him. The first question he asked was “Do you have a Resume?”. I told him that I had included all my info in the company resume template. He suggested that I include my own resume with all the same information in it. I was confused but I went ahead and updated my resume and put it in the packet with the company one.
When the day of the interview came, I was asked a question about persevering through hardship. I used my college experience as an example, then told them that result was that I completed my bachelor's degree. The senior manager looked me right in the face and said: “Oh, you have a bachelor's degree!? That's helpful!” This fucker had me spend extra time and effort making a second resume, and never read either one. I got the job, but I never forgot that shit. So fucking stupid.
