So for context, I’ve been a server for about five years now. I started having foot problems, dropped out of college, because it wasn’t going anywhere, and took a temp office job.
It’s been a month and the temp job and so far it’s fine. All my coworkers seem really sweet and kind. The job itself is boring, I absolutely loathe working in an office 5 days a week while the day goes by. I work 9:30 to 6-6:30 and I feel like I just work and go to bed and wait until Saturday. I’m 25 and I’m stuck between missing my freedom and feeling like I should just give up on the hope of happiness and start saving money and grow up.
Tomorrow, my boss at the temp job is going to offer me a permanent position.
My gut keeps telling me that I really don’t want it. But I keep going back-and-forth and now I only have like 18 hours left to decide. Even if I take the job, I don’t want to be there long. I don’t have a passion, but I know that this job is not it. I could get another temp job but who knows if it’s worse or better? I also don’t wanna hurt the feelings of all the nice people that I’ve trained me so far. And really, the job is fine. I dislike it. But it’s fine.
But I don’t want my life to be fine /:
Such a tough decision.
Does anyone have any advice to help me out?
