I recently graduated with my master’s degree and applied to several senior roles. I’ve been working in the same industry for 4 years. I started at my current company a year ago. I received an offer for $30K more than what I currently make. How do you get over feeling guilty for having to resign and leave your job? I love my coworkers and feel bad for leaving them behind. I don’t want to feel like I’m making a mistake leaving “too early”.
I asked my manager during my performance review how I could move up and was told that I don’t have enough experience and it would be awhile before I became a senior cause that’s just how it is at this place, so I looked externally as I wanted a title change and more money after completing my degree.
