Today I was “Invited” the end of year work dinner. At the end of the meal we had to split the bill.

Didn't even get to choose what I ate as it was pre-ordered, and didn't tell us until we were there and it was all ordered already. I just paid £55 to spend my evening at a restaurant with work.
