I was the youngest and newest member of the team and a big project was late due to mistakes all parties made myself included. But it's all really managements fault since there job is to oversee things and correct the types of issues the project faced. My first yearly performance review was full of lies (my boss even admitted it to me in private), because of this I didn't get a full bonus or raise. I was put on a PIP and I stupidly trusted him. At the end they fired me and its clear that was the plan all along. My unofficial mentor told me he didn't have time to help me any more. My boss withheld 2 months of the paperwork from the PIPs and gave me them all to me less than 2 weeks before it was over. He never indicated I was at risk of being fired until the second to last meeting – out of nowhere.
I live in the US and I have no recourse. I sacrificed my health (both physical and mental), my friends once in a life time wedding, and much more for this company. Foul and disgusting behavior I don't want to work for someone else again until we have better laws protecting workers. Unfortunately I can't afford to do that but fuck this inequality of power!
