Quick backstory: I have been at my current company for only three months and the powers that be failed to set up the ability for me to enroll in benefits. I’ve constantly reminded them that I never received benefits and have since missed the deadline by a long shot.
I’ve been promised a ‘promotion’ since the end of my first month, including a raise, but no moving forward on it all this time. I found another job and gave notice, because I do have respect for and like my direct supervisor.
I told him I was leaving in Monday. Today, Thursday, I was given a phone number to call to get my benefits started and was asked to log into my company profile on the ‘recruiter’s’ laptop. He then proceeded to take the laptop and officially apply to this position for me, after I told him I was leaving the company.
These are all shady practices and have solidified my want to leave.
