My job is irritating me so much when it comes to breaks but because everyone else puts up with it with no complaints I know if I start kicking a fuss I'll just be fired.
My workplace needs at 24/7 supervision, meaning if I am in the building by myself (which is most of my shifts) I cannot have a break.
Also my manager kept putting me on the late shifts that finish at 11pm and then putting me on the early shifts that start at 7am…. I now refuse to do those which has put me on thin ice hence why I'm biting my tongue about not getting breaks.
btw I live in the UK, I don't know about other countries but in the UK it only counts as a break if it's fully interrupted, can be planned for (so not just 'oh wow 20 minutes without customers') and can leave the building (with exceptions)
