Today was my second day of orientation, which is always scheduled for 10:00. Yesterday we didn’t start until 11:00 because our trainer didn’t know how to process our I-9’s, so we didn’t get to leave until 3:00 – even though we were supposed to leave at 2:00. When we finished, the Store manager asked that we come in an hour early today. So the four of us showed up at 9:00, with no trainer or manager in sight. I waited maybe 10 minutes before I finished my second module (which I knew needed to be done and could do without coaching or guidance). After finishing, I waited till 10:30, then clocked out and went home. I sent the only manager who’s number I had the following message:
I know you are on vacation, so I wanted to avoid contacting you, but there was an issue this morning. ******* told us to show up at 9:00 today. We all did, but no one showed to train us. I hopped on the computer to do path #2 while I waited, as did the other new hires. We all finished our paths and waited until 10:30. The two kids may have stayed, but **** and I clocked out and left. Please contact me with a schedule or when to show up next. Thank you for your time, sorry to bother you, I hope you enjoy your vacation.
