Current school I work/worked for 12 years as a facility manager is changing my work hours to 11-7pm. For over 12 years it’s been 6-2:30. Which gave me time to have a second job needles to say in this economy it has become a necessity. For the last 2 years I’ve worked once place 6am-2:30 the other 3-11:30pm. For summer , spring , and winter I’ve been able to accommodate a change in hours for both schools. Today the director asked me to come to her office and told me she needs my hours to be 11-7pm or resign.
Both jobs carry my son and my health insurance the evening job has a retirement plan first pays a little more but no 401k. Is this legal she is giving me the weekend I don’t want to resign because I won’t be able to collect. I honestly feel this is just her way to get rid of me. Any advice besides just looking for another job. I’ve been searching but nothing no interviews no calls.
