I asked my boss why i would want the day to go by faster.

Recently my boss moved me to a new position. Apparently after a year, there wasn't enough work in the position I was originally hired into, and so the options were for me to be layed off, or take the new position. As my boss was explaining this to me, he said this new position has much more work to do, and will keep me more busy. And then, as if it were some sort of selling point, he told me how when you keep busy, the day goes by faster. I asked him why i would want my day to go by faster, and he didn't have an answer. It was actually comically to see him stutter his way through not having an answer. Of course the answer was so that you can make the work day go by quicker, because who wants to be here. Same thing, right?
