Why does not wanting to work automatically mean people are “lazy”?

I saw a post where OP was saying that 40 hours a week for work is too much. I agree with the post, but there were a lot of comments from people basically saying that anyone who doesn't want to work 40 hours a week is just lazy. This is something that bothers me so much because there are so many people that aren't actually lazy, there are just so many other things they would rather do that they find more fulfilling than going to a job. This is something that bothers me so much because there are so many people that aren't actually lazy, there are just so many other things they would rather do that they find more fulfilling than going to a job. Personally, I don't want to not work so that I can just do nothing all the time, I want to not work so that I can do SO MUCH MORE.

There is so much to learn and experience about the world, but there's not enough time because 40+ hours doesn't allow for that. Sure, you can engage in some hobbies, but there's not enough time to really live. Also, depending on your work, commute, household chores, and other responsibilities, it's likely you're too tired to anything else. Any free time you have afterwards just goes to trying to relax and prepare for the next day.

This kind of lifestyle works for some people, but forcing everyone to live this way is not right imo. And what good is it doing to tell those who are working 40+ hours and hating it that they're wrong for hating it and shouldn't complain? It's not like we choose the society we're born into.
