I work at an arcade for 12 dollars an hour with my roommate. We work for about 38 hours a week and it's such a struggle to survive. My boss gets a bonus for hitting under a certain number of work hours so we're constantly understaffed so he can get a bonus and I eat barely one meal a day. The cheapest rent in the area is 900 Dollars for a 2 bedroom and my car died the second I got this job. I can't afford to leave my job, I can't afford to get my car fixed, I feel so stuck. I had a job that paid 15 an hour but was forced to quit because my boss was harassing my partner and threatening to fire me. (The company is marketsource, fuck them.) I don't know what to do, and I'm running out of options fast. My coworkers are talking about unionizing and worried I'll just get fired for even trying.
