I (14M) recently started working in a pretty decent sized (imagine 1/4's of a football field filled to the brim with tables and its filled during my shift) cafe owned by family friends, they asked me to be waiter at their cafe from the hours of 8p.m to 1 a.m (the bussiest hours) i agreed without talking about the hourly payment cuz my family said it'd be rude. I had no prev experience with a waiter job but i did about %70-80 the work the other waiters did. (i coulda done more but they refused to give me more cuz it was my first day). I also worked about an extra 40 mins cuz scheduling issues with 0 pay. They pay daily so i went to get my money but they gave me 100 Liras (Turkish currency. For reference a bag of branded [Lays,Ruffles,Doritos] chips cost 20 liras.) I was at least expecting 150 or something and was a bit mad when i got 100 but didnt say anything. I talked to my mom about this and she said “its your first day just endure like 10 more days im sure they'll give you a raise.” But idk what to do. One of my friends also works there and he has the same hours as me but he's not a waiter he's responsible for cleaning the dishes and sometimes helping make drinks, i know he started with 125 a day and still is getting 125 after 1.5 months. I'm just not sure if the money they pay me is enough cuz idc much about jobs and shit. Am i in the wrong for wanting more money? (Also before anyone asks idk what the other waiters's daily pay is) (also sorry if bad English its not my native)
