Don’t draft manuals for free

When I gave 3 weeks notice my manager wanted me to create manual for a very important task that only I knew how to do (and in fact had perfected). I was like and when would this be happening? My time was already stretched thin. And it was the holidays so I was working part time my final weeks. I kept ignoring these requests. Eventually she just had everyone in the office shadow me and make their own notes. Had me train as I went along. Which I was totally fine with. But I was not going to do a writing assignment for them, at least not without extra pay, because it’s something they would continue to use long after I’m gone. I’m being paid for my tasks. My knowledge costs extra
