I Accidentally Gave 2 Months Notice, I’m Disappointed…

Throwing this out there for those that might be in the same boat as many others. Obviously times are tough and money is tight, so every little thing you can do to make your day better and get back at a poor employer or management team, can sometimes help just that little bit more to make your days in the future better. Things like leaving without notice and so on are among those little things. I'll be forced out of my living location soon to move across the country and while it's going to be way earlier than I wanted, it was planned to happen within the year. All things considered my manager's bosses are garbage and tend to be the prime examples of lacking in everything, the pay is bogus, and I as well as others with me, are treated as if we can do 2 or 3 people's…

All things considered my manager's bosses are garbage and tend to be the prime examples of lacking in everything, the pay is bogus, and I as well as others with me, are treated as if we can do 2 or 3 people's jobs as 1 person. So safe to say I'm a bit spiteful and aggravated with the situations they keep puting us in.

I'd planned to leave with zero notice as last time someone in my position did that almost a year ago, they're still struggling to recover and won't hire to fill that spot, so I've been given their duties as well. But now that I'm the last of the ops admin team at my building, if I leave, they're fucked. HOWEVER, in my pure excitement to be forced to move and leave the damned station in stuck in, I opened my mouth to some high HIGH ups that I got buddy buddy with and word spread. So now package handlers, my manager, his manager, the senior manager, and the district manager all know and I've had very mixed responses from them.

District manager is furious and wants me fired for incompetence and told them to look for what errors im making to terminate me. The sr manager asked where I'm going and said he will reach out to the and see what positions they have available for me to make it a smooth transition, my manager and the package handlers seem depresso, and my managers boss seems to be trying to throw me into everything he can to get me to quit from exhaustion and frustration.

Ending the long story with this :
– no matter how excited you are, if you truly despise the ones you work for and your leaving on the spot doesn't destroy morale of others just trying to get by, don't say a word to anyone if you don't need their help moving lol.
I just mentioned it to people I knew could and would help as they can pull strings for me as I've been doing for them. I probably should have kept my mouth shut though and on the last day given them a solid “good luck, I'm moving, here's my resignation and exit statement” and just not come back.

The only time I've seen a business give an extended notice of someone being let go was if they were legally obligated to. It's a billion dollar company, they could sneeze and fire thousands and still do fine. Don't settle for being nice if they wouldn't do the same for you.
