Too many people take a job wanting to impress the bosses. The job becomes the centre of their lives. They focus on getting to work early, staying late, proving how competent they are.
The profit obtained from their labour goes into other pockets while they get enough to survive. Their lives are on the back burner.
It doesn't make sense.
What makes sense is having a life outside of the job which matters so that you can say; “I have a family emergency and have to leave..” and the Boss saying okay, not telling you that you can't leave. And you obeying.
