Mistreatment of minimum wage employees and disrespect

I work in the produce department in a big chain grocery store and the supervisor texted everyone in the produce department to meet on their day off with very short notice. In the text message, the supervisor did not even mention what the meeting was for. The next day, most of the workers showed up on time as the supervisor had requested. However, we started the meeting 40 minutes delayed, waiting for last worker to show up. Mind you, all the workers are being paid minimum wage, so even being asked to show up to a meeting with such short notice is asking for too much. The supervisor then stared us all down and asked us why we were called in. Nobody had a sweet clue. He then proceeded to say that we were doing a shit job at maintaining the department. The supervisor then stared us all down and asked us why we were called in. Nobody had a sweet clue. He then proceeded to say that we were doing a shit job at maintaining the department. At that moment, I realized that I shouldn't have showed up to the meeting. He then started to say how awful everything had looked and messy everything was, and threw everyone under the bus that should be a management issue. He told me and another worker that he had specifically assigned us duties from the start of our jobs, but he had never even mentioned this before to me. He then went on about how the store was losing money due to lost inventory, moldy fruit, etc. In our defense, we don't do the ordering of inventory, we simply put out and organize whatever produce comes in. He also told us that if we don't want to improve, then we are easily replaceable. I am angry that he wasted our time to simply put the poor management's faults onto the employees and that there was no constructive criticism. The store needs to hire more employees and have more workers on the shift, it is impossible for a single person to do everything they are asking for.

Is this everyone's experience in a grocery store and as a minimum wage employee? I've worked minimum wage jobs before but never had a supervisor be this rude and disrespectful to other workers. I don't think a store can operate this long if they are treating their workers this way and rely on the manpower to operate smoothly.
