So I applied to an small business rommonded by someone I knew and it was ingredibly toxic or should I say the boss and senior sales reps where. I'd catch them speaking rudely about me to “regulars” in different language. Company was so small that there wasn't an hr to file complaint. I was initially promised training which came in the form of a phamplet. After two weeks of this I decided to leave because I wasnt used to this and it felt unsafe.
It's been 7 months and I've noticed I've been harassed, stared at aggressively. It's been a surreal experience just from a two week experience.
I have since been self employed and it's gone very well.
However I'm considering potentially hiring a PI and building a case due to the harassment not going away.
To those who have been through this, I want to know should I not go to the effort and money to do this or what's possibly the best outcome. I don't want to escalate the situation but I'm starting to see that this is not going to go away due to the throwing monkeys. The store was my last relate related job but I'm concerned about what seems to be real damage it's done.. Though I may not find anything either
