Employer pushy about advancement in company

I do very well at my job. I always get compliments and praise. My boss thinks this means I should “move up” in the company to a more leadership style position. I don’t want it. I don’t want more responsibility. I want to continue to be great at what I do and clock out of work when it is time. My boss thinks this means I should “move up” in the company to a more leadership style position. I don’t want it. I don’t want more responsibility. I want to continue to be great at what I do and clock out of work when it is time. My balance of work and family is very important and I don’t want to compromise that. Of course, if I had the financial means, I wouldn’t work at all or at least take a good sabbatical.

I hate the idea that the if you are good or even great at your job then you must do more, have more responsibility, and that you should move into management. I get that most people want to climb the corporate ladder, but I do not have that desire nor hustle. Just needed to vent.
My employer has been hinting at this for a while and I keep being honest with them about not wanting to move from my current position, just to do more work and have more responsibilities. It’s exhausting.
