I’m an internal recruiter for a company of about 500 people. I started in sales but took this as it seemed like a “promotion”. It has been okay, WFH has been a huge plus.
As 4th quarter approaches, the company took 75% of my workload away when the closed several open positions permanently. I’m down to one (yes ONE) job opening. My boss said that the VP is “working on” a new role for me and another recruiter. They can’t tell us what it is, but it will be a few weeks before they let us know what’s happening.
My boss swears up and down that I’m not being laid off or let go and that they’re going to “find a home” for us.
Is there any universe in which they’re not full of shit?
