I was reading a post in here a few days ago and they mentioned that jobs were turning them down for being overqualified. I just don't really understand why a job would turn someone down for that.
If you have a person that has good qualifications for your job then I would figure they would be excited to have you onboard as opposed to turning them down. Especailly, assuming they were expecting them same pay and treatment as any other apllicant.
Is it a salary thing, like they'd expect they'd have to pay them more? I just figured that would go against the whole idea of employers asking what your expected pay is when you apply. Plus I firgured stuff like this is the point of interviews, to make sure both employer and applicant are on the same page when it comes to the job.
I just don't get it.
