Antiwork

I’m so tired of my job field being so exploitative.

I'm exhausted. I work as an English teacher, and it's utterly demoralising to see how many agencies are happy to just completely underpay, offer flimsy 'contracts' that get dumped at any opportunity, lack of job security and it feels like every single place is the same. I've been interviewed by so many places who ask me to do an entire lesson (with planning!) for FREE as a 'test of my skill.' As if 4 years earning my qualifications isn't enough somehow. I'm so tired of this market. I'm tired of every job I go to giving me the same old shit with a different logo slapped onto it. I love teaching but something has to change.
