Thank you to the posters who all said to do it. My job had
- Tons of micromanagement and an oversized management (40% of our dept was management)
- A boss that loved to berate me and implicitly threaten to fire me for minor mistakes
- The oldest processes technology wise and company process wise I had ever seen. Shit like the VPs not knowing basic things about technology and the order of people cc'd on an email mattering
I left after not even half a year of work, with no notice, today. My email went over all that shit and I deleted my boss's voicemail didn't even listen to it.
I don't give them notice because of an awesome comment I read here “if you fear retaliation, don't give two weeks notice”. Just makes so much sense.
I start another job in a week, fully remote and 5k raise.
