Have had some issues with the GM at my job. She's an EXTREME perfectionist. Like, written up for finding a spec of dust perfectionist. She also has made comments about customers that didn't sit well with me, and has scolded me for giving coupons that one customer earned to another person in line at the customers request because they “didn't earn it” when there is no rule with these coupons that it has to be the person who made the purchase turning it in.
So she's obviously a stickler for the rules, all about workplace integrity.
Fast forward to a few days ago. I've just been made key holder with GM. I'm learning how to do certain things on register. GM's Boss is here with us.
As GM is explaining the new register stuff, the GM's Boss asks her “is there somewhere these instructions are written down?”
GM says “Yes!!”
I have never seen such a document, or at least it isn't available to me currently.
I ask her “There is? where can I find it?”
She starts stuttering, looks at me like a deer in headlights, whispers she'll have to print it for me.
Hmm.
Still haven't received my printed instructions lmao
Don't dish out BS about following the rules if you can't even be honest with your own boss about something as stupid as that.
