Forgive me I'm terrible at explaining.
Due to lack of jobs in my area I had to go back to my former employer. I contacted this new location asking to be rehired and they began to talk about how bad they needed a supervisor at their other location. Apparently things have been very bad with a manager leaving and this store needed extra help. I gave the manager my info and she emailed me the next day for an interview. I was so excited because I've been unemployed for a couple months barely making rent so it was nice to have a steady income and be employed, or so what I thought.
Here's where it gets weird. I responded with times I could come in and I haven't heard a thing from her in a week. I've sent another email asking if she is receiving my emails and I got crickets. I eventually went into the location and asked if I could speak with her. At this point I was assuming they're just busy bc after all they did say they were understaffed. An employee goes into her office and comes out after about 2 minutes and says she's in a zoom call but she'll reach out to me soon, she's just trying to find a date. I asked about the emails and the employee said that she saw them but just didn't reply ???
That was 4 days ago and At this point I'm confused if their just pulling me along. If you were so understaffed why wouldn't it be a priority to find new hires especially one that's been with the company 3 years prior that requires no training and remains in good standing. I don't wanna name anything about this company but some locations are unionizing and they are scared shitless. Do you think they might believe I might be involved with it? Is it poor management? Old employee coming back to start a union? Or am I just getting ghosted. I'm out of options at this point and I need a job.
