One of my managers was working at the front of the store, and I went to use the computer beside them. Im a new hire and I’m doing my best to learn new things and take initiative whenever possible. She was talking to another coworker from across the counter when she turned to me and said candidly “I like you, you’re a good person. I want you to know I recommended you for a position in our art department”. I was shocked, I thought this manager was cool before but I was taken aback by this incredibly nice gesture. To all the managers out there, it’s the small shit like this that makes a monumental difference. Today was a nice day.
