My bf has worked for this company for nearly a year. They switched him to a much more important, difficult position recently because he was much more qualified for it even though his coworkers have all been there much longer than him.
After about 2 months of being thrown around and given every task under the sun (because his manager quit so he’s been given what some of his duties were as well), he decided to ask for a raise today and they said “if you can justify to the boss why our location is a mess and why you deserve a raise we might give you one”.
THEY HAVENT EVEN GIVEN HIM A JOB DESCRIPTION or formally changed his job position. How the fuck is he supposed to keep their entire location up to par and meet their expectations when they haven’t given him any?
Companies will really be like “yea you’re qualified and a great employee we’ll give you better, harder work to do since you obviously can. Just not great enough to compensate you for the extra work!”
