Employer refusing to pay holiday leave

Hello everyone! I (23F) have been working in a family members club in London for around 6 months. Due to a visa issue, i had to leave the job this March. In my previous job, upon leave, i had been paid the amount equivalent to my annual holiday leave. I read my contract from this workplace and if i understood correctly i have 28 days for an year. I contacted my employer today as we get paid on the 9th of each month, just to double check with her whether I'll receive my holiday pay, but she simply tells me that 28 days are for the whole year, and since i left in March I'm basically not entitled to anything. Is this possible or is she making things up? This company is known to underpay employees, that's why i have my doubts Thank you for reading! 🙂
