My workplace (well established healthcare related company) didn't auto deposit my check to my bank account on Friday, making it the second late paycheck for me in the last six pay periods. I saw in our pay system that on Friday afternoon they scheduled my late paycheck to not to deposit into my bank account until Tuesday, 5 days after it was due to be paid out. Using their own logic and sense of urgency, I'll start doing my actual work again sometime around Wednesday this week, given that my check actually arrives and clears the bank.
The total lack of respect or consideration for a worker is so frustrating. I could easily have been counting on my paycheck to afford groceries for my family, or the gas to make it back to work. Anyone ever filed a late wage complaint? Anything ever come of it?
