Quit my job just over 2 years ago and had the chance to accumulate a decent sum prior to that with good investement and selling a rental property I aquired for cheap in a foreclosure. (I hated being a “landlord”)
I now live modestly with my working partner (self employed) and our animals. I take care of the house and animals but we still have a mortgage to pay and we'd like to go on an extended vacation.
I'm very qualified in my field but have been looking for part-time or contract position for almost a year. They all want full time or nothing.
Got contacted by a headhunter with a client looking for my profile. Set up a phone call meeting and they never called!! I e-mailed to know WTF? after 2 hours and never got a reply.
I'm done!! I'll sell some shit, cut down on our few nights out, rent my basement, buy more chickens and sell eggs but I'm not going to waste my time with people who don't even care.
