Getting called lazy for quitting $10/hr job doing hard labor

During the pandemic the restaurant I was a server at closed for a few months and my brothers buddy offered me a job doing yard work for him (but hard shit like mixing concrete, digging holes, carrying heavy bags of rocks, sanding the wood deck in the backyard) paying $10 an hour. He’d ask me to come work while he was away at his full time job so I’d go work for 2-3 hours and get fed up with the tedious hard labor and leave. I told him I wouldn’t be coming back for only $10 an hour (this was after like a week) and he called me lazy and ungrateful. Just wanted to share this story Sorry for weird formatting I’m on mobile.
