I know that this sub is mostly focused on pointing out the shitty situations the majority of us deal with working in the absolutely fucked job market we all have to live in but I wanted to share some good news from where I work. I work at a non profit so the pay isn't that great, which is standard in this kind of work since you know non profit, but its enough to keep my head above water which had gotten harder to do since the pandemic but some of that is made up for with good bennies. Come yesterday I got an email that my director fought for a 10% increase in pay to all of our staff to specifically combat inflation and that is on top of our regular annual raises. It really makes me feel appreciated and honestly the work we do and people I work with has been an absolutely wonderful. I just wanted to share
