A Penny Saved

A penny saved Is equal to a penny earned. But only according to a dead nutsack. You see, Mfk didn’t account for taxes. You earn x. 33% is gone. A penny saved

Is equal to a penny earned.

But only according to a dead nutsack.

You see,

Mfk didn’t account for taxes.

You earn x. 33% is gone.

You refrain from spending y. 100% of that unrealized loss is still yours. +5-10% tax.

66% (earned) does not equal 110% (saved).

Naturally, the government/ corporate America realizes this and is busy making you spend as much money as possible. “Find a partner, buy a house, travel the world, have kids, build a tarantula jungle gym.” These desires are beat into us from all angles; our peers, the media, etc. #society

Now, realizing that money saved is at least 30% greater than money earned, let’s examine the the money you save by earning less money.

You make $100k. You lose $33k.

You make $10k. $3k is lost.

By working less, you have saved thirty grand. Assuming you have to work to make money like 99% of people do.

Thirty. Fucking. Grand.

This is almost half of what you keep after earning $100k. A 1000% increase in effort on your part only nets you a 50% increase in capital. This rate is relatively consistent as long as you’re a member of the working class.

Now, one may argue that this loss is unavoidable. No matter how much you make, the government will take the same proportion. Therefore, how much you are robbed by the government is simply a cost of doing business. Fine. However, let’s examine who exactly you’re giving your hard-earned money to.

The government does not have your best interest at heart. I will not attempt to convince someone of this. I hardly have the time nor the energy to detail every crime against humanity committed by governing bodies since the dawn of time.

So, evidence aside, let’s assume the government is the fucking devil. The raping, murdering, lying, conniving, hoarding, butchering, merciless, loveless, unfeeling, godless machine that is our concept of the devil.

Would you rather pay the devil $30k or $3k? Money is energy, after all. Does this thing really need more?
