So I had a job interview a long time back for a company that provides household assistance for seniors and since I found this subreddit I wanted to share my small story.
I applied for the job and sent the company my cv.
I got an email back saying I got invited for an interview.
I wast very happy since I had some trouble actually finding a job because I'm male and the job is dominated by females.
I got there after a 20 minute drive and they hit me with the following:
“We actually require someone with more experience.”
Okay understandable, but HOW ABOUT ACTUALLY SAYING THAT IN AN EMAIL INSTEAD OF MAKING ME WASTE GAS AND 20 MINUTES OF MY LIFE?!
I just stood up, gave them the most disgusted grin I could give the shithead and left. Didn't even say a word. When I did it.
I'm happy with my current job as a household assistant for seniors, but holy hell did I need to vent.
