Hello everyone,
I am currently 22 years old and have been working for this company for 3 years now.
I work in a warehouse with 5 other people. In the first year and a half of me being here they tasked me with 4 different jobs and all of them come with tons of new responsibilites. I mastered every job and could do everything if someone goes on vacation or gets sick ( we work in groups of 2 ). My wage has been minimal since I got there ( I got a 30€/month raise once ). My current job is to prepare raw pieces for production with my coworker (forklift drivers), the other 2 load trucks and the last 2 are my boss and his assistant who is going to replace him in september.
Now what bothers me the most is that me and my “duo” work our asses off every single day, spend 6 hours in the forklift sweating like pigs while the other 2 guys who load trucks sit in the office for 7 hours a day most of the time. Theyre not working just sitting there watching the news or sleeping. One guy even has the audacity to sleep in my warehouse while Im working and then pretending to be tired when gets to the office. I even do most of their work sometimes while they come in an hour later and leave an hour earlier. I told all of this to my boss and he just told me to mind my own bussines and that were all the same. I told everything to our director (higher than my boss) and she just told him what I said and that Im too young to complain.
I told my boss I am quitting and the director called me 2 minutes later saying I shouldnt and begging me to stay. She even promised to give me a raise and that still hasnt happened. Theyre treating me like shit and expect me to do everything while lying and giving fake promises.
I got a chance to move and work in Norway this september with good pay and free apartment. I am a little scared and still dont know if I should do it but I am so tired of working here. Its taking a large toll on my mental health and I cant take it anymore. Also every company in my area is the same from what Ive heard so there is no point in changing jobs here.
