I went to HR in May 2023 because my manager was toxic. He would constantly talk shit and even told me since I had kids I should work harder.
They since placed me on a new team and till last week I worked with them. The new manager quit. HR seemed to think my new manager would be mine but I was never formally placed with her.
After she quit they told me I would be going back to my old one and what I've been doing for 4 days. Even though no one ever told me anything different.
I fear I would be written up or placed on a PIP even though I did nothing wrong.
I absolutely don't want to work with my old manager. How do I fight this?
In a meeting yesterday they accused me of trying to pick my manager and not working even though I haven't communicated in ANY capacity with my old manager. This is nuts.
During the 3 months with my new manager no one said anything and everything was fine.
