Actually, I didn’t leave

Received an email today from the CFO of the company I haven’t worked for since September. Explaining updates to the 401k, wanting to keep me in the loop because I still have the account. I responded with that I soon will be cashing it in as it is one of the last ties I have to the company. Then I said that I would be looking to sell the stock as well so I will be completely severed from the company. He responds with thanks and pleasantries, then asks where I went after leaving them. I respond, “actually…. I didn’t leave you. According to the state I was wrongfully terminated. But, I turned down an offer at ‘company name’ so I could be closer to home since my my oldest needs me. Instead I am taking a job where I can be close to home and happy” Not juicy, but…

Not juicy, but Jesus.
