Advice in regards to potential discrimination?

We're in Australia and I'm not exactly legally savvy but I've seen a lot of posts where laws were sourced in the comments so I figured I'd ask. My friend recently got a job as a cleaner with help from their NDIS worker and they're in trouble for taking too many bathroom breaks. Even if they're not, what kind of professional jargon do you use when talking about a period? I've already suggested they ring their NDIS advocate first thing tomorrow to get advice from there but I want to know if there's anything else that they could do. They were a little unclear but they said they hadn't been paid nor rostered for the next week and called about it and then this happened.

Please use they/them for my friend and thank you for helping
