So I am from Mexico and working in FL on a TN visa. I got hired via a Cobtractor that helped me with the visa, and when I got to the actual company I met other people in my same situation. I have been here for around 10 months and now I know that Contractors are actually paid at least 60 usd and I am paid 45 usd. Tomorrow I got a meeting with my employer to ask for a raise, any advice on how to ask for it? being that I am a contractor and my salary is discussed with someone outside my work environment? Also, one of the persons before has already asked for raises and used LinkedIn screenshots to show that we are underpaid ( got a couple of them also). Thanks everyone!
