I am a brand rep at a store (just basic employee basically) part time in college. I saw they were offering $16 an hour base pay and it is only 10 minutes from my house so I figured I like their clothes and I like the amount of money so I go in and get hired. I’ve literally learned 2 weeks after being hired I replaced someone who KILLED THEMSELVES in September after a manager told her to get over it and stop crying and keep working, and she never came back into work again. Manager then quit. Store manager is salary and now working 80+ hours a week and I’ve been called every single day I am off since I’ve been hired 3 weeks ago to come in. I genuinely don’t know how to leave a job this horrible on a clean break and I also only just started but I feel like I could make a docuseries about them . Not to mention, they have us stay in hours after being scheduled to be off to ship their orders so management doesn’t get in trouble and gets their bonuses. The company literally doesn’t have a shipping warehouse so all orders go through stores.
