Am I allowed to leave my job on the spot without consequences

Hi reddit, I'm a 18 yo student who works part time on the weekend usually. I have a trip planned since 2-3 months already which will be in 2 weeks. I put this specific week that I'll be gone as an unavailability last week (so 3 weeks prior to the trip). I have heard that my boss has a history of not letting people go under the reason that “they're needed here” or whatever. I may be wrong, but as a minimum salary worker that's working once a week, I should be able to just go on a one week trip without it creating any problems at the job. I'm working tomorrow, and just in case, I planned on quitting on the spot/leaving my 2 week notice if my boss tells me I can't go because I'll be going on the trip in exactly 2 weeks. I don't care enough…

I don't care enough about the job to cancel a trip that I was looking forward to. This leads to my question : do I necessarily need a paper to announce my 2 weeks? Are there any repercussions to just not coming to the job without letting them know if I have no other choice? My previous work was at a local restaurant, so there was none of this corporation crap (everything was way easier). I just don't want this to affect my future with jobs. Thanks. (I live in Quebec, Canada for reference)
