My boss asked me to evaluate myself on a career ladder which I did. Then he evaluated me and by all measures he gave me the lower rating based on feedback he received. Nothing specific until I asked and I was told that I don't perform at my level. Now I have been given rather vague goals (change people's perception, own the outcome, establish relationships) to achieve in 6 weeks or go on a pip. I asked peers for specific direct feedback which was positive and constructive. Yet my boss categorically rejected even looking at that feedback. I am sensing that I am not wanted by my boss. I feel unappreciated, stressed and anxious and maybe I should just ask to be laid off. Any suggestions?
