Am I wrong for not taking someone else’s shift?

I’ve had to turn down taking others shifts multiple times, although I have done others before. But I never feel actually want to take peoples shifts, I just feel like a bad person when I turn them down. But when I don’t HAVE to work, I’m not gonna work. I feel bad but, I have a life too
