Am I wrong to go into work for a few hours voluntarily on Easter Monday?

I work at a funeral home and I have a few funerals lined up the following week that I feel I should work on. Check emails, fill out and send off forms and generally organise the place for Tuesday when everyone gets back into work. I'm also on call this Easter weekend (luckily no call outs yet) so I'm gonna be ready to go at a moments notice anyway. My parents think I'm stupid for driving 25 miles out to the office on a day off to do unpaid work, and yeah I can see their point, but at the same point, there are a few orders of service that need designing ready for graphic designs that will need to be finalised by Tuesday evening, as well as cremation paperwork to be emailed over, and perhaps a courtesy call to a client who's funeral is Tuesday afternoon.
