Last year around this time I applied for a Mortgage. 20k down on a 120k house. No debt a solid job. But I was told I couldn’t get a mortgage because… oh look…no credit score.
So a year goes by I think “finally I’ll be able to get a mortgage” I have credit and it’s good! I’ve got 14k down payment on a houses that are valued closer to 140k now. No debt a solid job.
But I was told I couldn’t get a mortgage because… oh look…you switched jobs.
This system is designed to make people fail and I hate it. I’ve done my fair share of research on home ownership I’ve read 100’s of articles about secrets and tips to help you through the mortgage process. But here’s something so god damn stupid as changing jobs standing in my way.
I told the mortgage man that if he hadn’t run a credit report yet he better not because I’m not having my credit dinged when he had that information to start.
