Americans who are tired of the US should move to Alaska

Not a Blue State but-Alaska (I grew up here, no longer live in the US, current CS PhD in Europe). If enough people move there honestly it could be a blue state quickly (there are not that many people here..). And since it became a state in the US at a much later time than most states (1959), if it does become left leaning it will have more of a chance to be left in a way that is more non-American standard (like no offense to NYC, but even though you liberal you still have wall street and the problems associated with American capitalism). Things Alaska ALREADY has: Ranked choice voting One of the most liberal abortion laws on the planet. Things Alaska ALREADY has:

Ranked choice voting

One of the most liberal abortion laws on the planet. There are no term restrictions (as compared to Europe, where most places it's 12 weeks, aka within the first trimester).

Anchorage had the most diverse schools in the country, some public schools have Japanese Spanish, Russian or German immersion programs. Some elementary schools have garden beds. I grew a pretty sweet gourd when I was a kid-was super proud of it. Additionally I am a PhD student in Computer Science in Switzerland, and went through the public school system (so the education cannot be that bad). https://www.niche.com/k12/search/most-diverse-public-high-schools/

Weed is legal. Even before it was legal it was just decriminalized (you could still grow)

Billboards are illegal (no one wants to look at that s***)

A democratic socialist named Santa Claus is running for Alaska's newly vacant house seat

Free moose meat. Moose meet is natural, wild meat. Low in fat. None of that grocery store beef. Apparently it is a little bit of an acquired taste. https://www.pbs.org/video/we-really-do-eat-roadkill-moose-in-alaska-indie-alaska-mbjhfl/

Most of Alaska is PUBLIC lands, not owned by a person or corporation. You will honestly have a hard time finding this anywhere on the planet

The PFD, which is the closest thing to a universal basic income you get in the US.

Down to earth culture. Most people don't care about having the latest phone or fanciest clothes. If you do care it's sort of hard to find. With that said people still have patience, i don't think Amazon prime delivery is a thing yet.

The first place to reject a discriminatory bathroom bill.

Relative safety from certain disasters: Wilderness that won't be bombed if WW3 happens. With climate change it will be more tolerable to live in than other already warmer places. A huge chunk of people outside the US do not know it is part of the US (people think its Canada, or its own country)
