Annual Review Modified by Boss.

Hey y'all, don't know if this is a good place to post this, but this is the first time this has happened so I'm just curious. Background: My company did their annual review last month. How that looks like is, I fill out a questionnaire and write a summary of my accomplishments and future request, which includes any merit increase/bonus requests. I filled mine out and asked for a 7% pay increase. Keep in mind, I had previously got a promotion in October 2022 due to the previous boss leaving and me having to fill those shoes and become the team lead. At the time, I was told I was still eligible for a bonus and merit raise for the following year, even with receiving this promotion.

About two weeks later I had a meeting with my direct boss and her boss since she started at the company 12/2022 and they wanted a “fair” review. They talked about how great I was filling in while they looked for a new boss, blah blah. They gave me a bonus, but no merit. When I asked about it, they said no because of my recent promotion. I was upset, but didn't really care because I'm not planning on staying here much longer. They handed me my review with their notes and I left.

Issue: I was finally looking over my review and noticed considerable changes to the one my boss handed me versus the one I originally submitted. Is this something normal? I've never had this happen before in the 15 years I've been in any job with annual reviews. I don't feel right about this occurring, it feels unethical. I should add that the changes weren't negative. Should I say anything or just ignore and continue looking at other opportunities?
