Anti Contract Work

Hey All; IT World over here, I'm just throwing it out here that I always found it a bit ridiculous that I had to contract for YEARS for much less of the pay vs internal company employees for doing the same amount and or quality of work that they did: some times more which ended up with me burning myself out trying to become a Full Time Employee. While contracting I had terrible benefits, terrible representation, and terrible compensation. I did not accumulate vacation time and sometimes I ended up having to work holidays when the internal employees would get to spend time with their families. Yes I am saying that I slaved for years with no paid vacation unless the Contract Agency appointed it according to what they deemed important. Hey All; IT World over here,
I'm just throwing it out here that I always found it a bit ridiculous that I had to contract for YEARS for much less of the pay vs internal company employees for doing the same amount and or quality of work that they did: some times more which ended up with me burning myself out trying to become a Full Time Employee. Mean while the pandemic hit and contractors were the first to go: companies were restricting hiring to internal employees only. They wanted 100% commitment from me, but when it hit the fan and it did they left me to the wolves. Ever since then I have been Quietly Quitting; though I didn't know that was what it is called.

Surely some of you have also gone through this with “Contract”/”Hiring” Agencies?

Still: Is there still no anti-contract work movement? People are getting taken advantage of. I don't see how companies can get away with stuff like this. What happened to equal opportunity?
